Genesys Conference Call Types

Conference calls can either be operator assisted involving the use of a Genesys operator to complete the call, or automated allowing you to dial in through our system and set up your own call in situations where you do not need assistance.

There are five basic types of conference calls:

Operator Dial Out
Operator Local Meet Me
Operator 800 Meet Me
Automated Local Meet Me
Automated 800 Meet Me

Dial Out conferences are where the conference operator dials all the conferees up and bridges them all together at the scheduled time.

Meet Me is a teleconference where each participant, using their own long distance service, dials into the conference center to a standard phone line. The conference operator then connects all of the parties to their call.

800 Meet Me is the same as the Meet Me call, except each participant dials into the Genesys operator center via an 800 number.

Automated calls work the same as Meet Me, except this method requires no operator assistance. Participants dial into our center and enter a pre-arranged pin code. They are then entered into their scheduled conference.
