What is the difference between ISDN and IP?
ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network and IP
stands for Internet protocol. ISDN is the type of phone line
used for high bandwidth uses and used H.320 standard as such when
ever you use the line. Your local phone company will bill you
service charge on a per minute basis. IP is the standard for Internet
and usually there is no charge for the bandwidth use as such you
can use IP for video

our bridge upto 4 end points simultaneously.

Yes, you may connect o ISDN/H.320 units.

How can I connect with ISDN (H.320) users ?
Once you become a customer on our gatekeeper you can use our
auto transcoding gateways which will allow IP and ISDN to Co-exist
on the same box, thus allowing IP and ISDN to communicate with
each other.

Why do I need expensive unit, can I use a PC cam?
In reality the costs have come down tremendously for Video
conference units. These days you can buy a video conference Units
for as low as $3000 and upwards of $40,000 for plasma screens.
PC Cam units do not provide the quality for a business
Video conference as they cannot go beyond 128Kb in most cases
with few exceptions. We do not recommend PC based video Units.

Who do you recommend for good internet connection?
We are neutral on who you use for your internet connection.
Based on our testing the following backbone providers had the quality
of network to support video calls. Please do bear in mind that
Quality may change from time to time depending on various scenarios.

What type of IP connection do I need?
SDSL or t1 with bandwidth of 1.1Mb will suffice the need for
video conference. We highly recommend that you use the connection

Who are approved Vendors?
We only recommend and approve vendors who have tested their
units with us. These vendors are: Polycom, Tandberg and Zydacron.
We will not support any other vendor and you will assume all responsibility
of self supporting.

Eagle will provide complementary support but we request that
you rely on the vendor from whom you have purchased the unit.
